Ultra-fine bubble water supplying all areas of the home

FINE BUBBLE and ULTRA FINE BUBBLE are registered trade marks of the Fine Bubble Industry Association.

Tofle Co. Inc is in charge of development, design, production & sales.

Mechanism of the cleaning effect of ultrafine bubbles and microbubbles.

Jacking-up effect on adherents caused by the transformation of ultrafine bubbles into microbubbles.

Ultrafine bubbles in the gaps have been shown to generate more stable microbubbles, which detach adherent material.

Cleaning action due to contact between flowing fine bubble water (microbubble water) and adherent material.

Effectiveness depends on conditions such as bubble size, number concentration, water flow strength, water temperature and target substance.
Tests are required under conditions of use to confirm the actual effectiveness of the product.

Mechanism of the cleaning effect of ultrafine bubbles.

Adsorption due to the negatively charged surface of ultrafine bubbles.

In water, the Ultra Fine Bubble surface is negatively charged, which attracts positively charged substances.

Oil removal using the hydrophobic adsorption properties of ultrafine bubbles.

Oils that do not mix with water, such as cooking oil and oleic acid, are more easily adsorbed by the Ultra Fine Bubble.

Effectiveness depends on conditions such as bubble size, number concentration, water flow strength, water temperature and target substance.
Tests are required under conditions of use to confirm the actual effectiveness of the product.

Cleaning effect of Ultra Fine Bubble and surfactants (detergents).

Ultrafine bubble surfaces are covered with surfactant (detergent) and the surfactant reaches the crevices deep into the fibers. Residual surfactant is adsorbed by the ultrafine bubbles and can be efficiently removed.

Effectiveness depends on conditions such as bubble size, number concentration, water flow strength, water temperature and target substance.
Tests are required under conditions of use to confirm the actual effectiveness of the product.

Ultra fine bubble technology

Joint verification with JR East (Japan Railway)

Verification of urinary stones removal and odour-improving action in station toilet urinals.

A fine bubble generator (Be-Life) was installed in the wash water pipework of a urinal in a station toilet and jointly verified to be effective in removing urinary stones and improving odour.

Verification case (1) JR East Japan, toilet urinal inside

Only two months after installation of Be-Life, the number of urinary stones decreased and the effect of odour improvement was confirmed. The results of this research were presented by JR East at the 2019 Annual Conference of the Architectural Institute of Japan (at Kanazawa Institute of Technology).

Verification case (2) JR East Japan, in drainpipe of urinal.

Be-Life was installed in 19 toilets in the station, and a reduction in urinary stones and amines, the odour-causing substances, was observed.

What is the Ultra fine bubble ?

Ultrafine bubbles, small, special bubbles, are a technology that originated in Japan. Research and development on fine bubbles in general, including ultrafine bubbles, is currently being actively conducted. Ultrafine bubbles are expected to make a further contribution to improve our lives and the global environment.

Size of fine bubbles.

There are two types of fine bubbles, based on the size of the bubbles: visible 'microbubbles' and invisible 'ultrafine bubbles'.

Standardized by ISO and JIS.

The names and bubble sizes relating to fine bubbles are defined by ISO and JIS as follows.

fine bubble

Collective term for microbubbles and ultrafine bubbles

microbubble

Bubbles with a diameter of 1 µm (1/1000 mm) and above and less than 100 µm (1/10 mm).

Ultra Fine Bubble

Bubbles less than 1 µm (1/1000 mm) in diameter

Features of microbubbles and ultrafine bubbles

'Microbubbles' are visible bubbles which, when present in large quantities, cause the water to become cloudy; they dissolve in the water and disappear within 2-3 minutes.

'Ultrafine bubbles' are so small that they cannot be directly seen visually. Water remains colourless and transparent even when Ultra Fine Bubbles are present, and special measuring equipment is needed to measure them. They hardly dissolve in water and are said to remain present in the water for several months in a stable, non-irritating state.

Effects of Ultra Fine Bubble

In recent years, research on the ultrafine bubble effect has been actively conducted by research institutions and various scientific papers have been published.

The cleaning effects of ultrafine bubbles are being used for practical use in a variety of fields.

  • General purpose, such as washing machines, showers, etc.
  • Infrastructure areas such as toilet flushing and urinary stone removal.
  • Industrial sectors, such as oil cleaning.
